SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the fatal officer-involved death of Jose Garcia, 38, of Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 2, 2010.

After a thorough review of the facts, circumstances and applicable law pertaining to this matter, the District Attorney’s Office has concluded that the use of force by Deputies Russel Goines and Thomas Jolin was reasonable, lawful and appropriate. The Coroner’s Office has determined that Jose Garcia suffered a tear to a small artery resulting in blood loss which led to hemorrhagic shock causing death.
