DISTRICT ATTORNEY FINDS FATAL OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING IN SAN BERNARDINO LEGALLY JUSTIFIED

 SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the officer-involved shooting of 43-year-old Jon McAllister Taylor of San Bernardino by San Bernardino Police Department Officer Johnny M. Turner on Nov. 28, 2011.

The District Attorney’s Office stated that, under the facts presented in the reports submitted by the San Bernardino Police Department and the applicable law, Officer Johnny M. Turner’s use of deadly force was in response to an apparent and immediate threat of death or great bodily injury. Therefore, his conduct is legally justifiable.
