MEDIA ADVISORY: District Attorney and Survivors of Human Trafficking To Speak in Support of Prop 35

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos will speak in support of Proposition 35 at a press conference today, October 31, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. The press conference will be held outside on the front steps of San Bernardino City Hall at 300 North D Street in San Bernardino.

“By passing Prop. 35, among other things, this would allow prosecutors across the state to impose tougher penalties on those who prey upon our vulnerable women and children,” said Ramos. “Enough is enough. We need to send a strong message to the rest of the nation that California will not tolerate the blatant exploitation of our children or any human being for that matter.”

Speakers include:

San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos
Daphne Phung, Founder and Executive Director, California Against Slavery / Prop 35 Campaign
Amy Andrews, Survivor of Human Trafficking
Anne-Catherine Rogan, Family Member of Human Trafficking Victim
