SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the non-fatal officer-involved shooting of Eddie Varela, 32, of Hesperia, by Barstow Police Officer Andrew Buesa on March 22, 2012.
The District Attorney’s Office stated that it is clear from the facts and circumstances that the shooting of Varela by Officer Buesa was justifiable in self-defense. No criminal liability attaches to the conduct of the involved officer.
