DA Finds Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in San Bernardino Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the fatal officer-involved shooting of Trevor Michael Taylor, 22, of Colton, by Colton Police Officer Todd Smith, and Sergeants Steve Davis and Lou E. Gamache on July 31, 2012.

Under the facts, circumstances and the applicable law, the use of lethal force was justifiable in self-defense or the defense of others and no criminal liability attaches to the conduct of the any involved officer.
