DA Finds Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in San Bernardino Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the fatal officer-involved shooting of 27-year-old Tremayne Marshawn Williams of Rialto, by Colton Police Officers Guillermo Bermudez and Michael Farcas on July 11, 2012.

Under the facts, circumstances and the applicable law, the use of deadly force by Officer Bermudez and Officer Farcas was justified under the laws of self-defense and the defense of others, and no criminal liability attaches to the conduct of any involved officer.
