DA Finds Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in San Bernardino Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the fatal officer-involved shooting of Bartholomew Williams, 39, of San Bernardino, by Cal State University of San Bernardino Police Officers Helen Skaggs and Matthew Verhulst on Dec. 8, 2012.

Under the facts, circumstances and the applicable law, Officers Skaggs and Verhulst were legally justified in shooting Williams. Click here to download a copy of the written case evaluation.
