District Attorney to Honor Murdered Victims on National Day of Remembrance
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – In 2007, U.S. Congress designated September 25 as the “National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims” to honor the memories of murder victims and to recognize the impact on surviving family members.
The National Day of Remembrance also honors those organizations that provide support, advocacy and council to loved ones of murder victims.
Last year, District Attorney Mike Ramos unveiled an online photo memorial of victims from San Bernardino County. The gallery currently has 47 photos. Click here

Family members who wish to have their loved one’s photo displayed on the site are encouraged to contact the District Attorney’s office
“Having this memorial provides family members and friends of murder victims a place online they can visit to reflect on their loved one and their loss,” District Attorney Michael Ramos said. “It’s also a chance for us as a community to recognize that their loss is our loss.”
The public may also connect with the District Attorney’s office via Twitter on Sept. 25, using the hashtag #NDoR. Throughout the day, photos of staff members from the District Attorney’s office wearing their National Day of Remembrance black ribbons will be posted online at http://twitter.com/sbcountyda
