DA Finds Non-Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in Victorville Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.– The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the non-fatal officer-involved shooting of Arnulfo Hernandez, 35, of Victorville, by a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) on Aug. 26, 2014. Due to security concerns, the name of the ATF Special Agent has been redacted.

Under the facts, circumstances and the applicable law, the actions of the ATF Special Agent were justifiable and in self-defense and in defense of others. Click here to download a copy of the written case evaluation.
