SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.– A former Marine is scheduled to face trial today for the 2014 murder of 19-year-old Erin Corwin.
Christopher Brandon Lee, 27, is charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement of having intentionally killed the victim by means of lying in wait.
Erin Corwin’s body was found in an abandoned mineshaft outside of Twentynine Palms on Aug. 16, 2014.
This case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Sean Daugherty, who is a member of the Major Crimes Unit. Opening statements are scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. in Department S-16, San Bernardino Justice Center.
