DA Finds Non-Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in San Bernardino Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.– The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the non-fatal officer-involved shooting of Eddie Herrera, 40, of Highland, by San Bernardino Police Officer Brian Olvera on Aug. 10, 2012.

Under the facts, circumstances and the applicable law, Officer Olvera was justified in using deadly force to protect himself and others. As a result, no criminal liability exists on the part of Officer Olvera. Click here to download a copy of the written case evaluation.
