DA Finds Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in Highland Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.– The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the fatal officer-involved shooting of 30-year-old Eric Paul Andrews by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Brent Wood on March 12, 2014.

Based on the facts of this case and the applicable law, Deputy Wood’s use of deadly force was justifiable in performance of his lawful duty and in self-defense, and no criminal liability exists. Click here to download a copy of the written case evaluation.
