DA Finds Non-Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in Victorville Justified

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.– The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the non-fatal officer-involved shooting of 33-year-old Daniel Salazar by San Bernardino County Sheriff Deputy Osiel Reyes on Nov. 9, 2015.

Under the facts, circumstances and the applicable law, the shooting by Deputy Osiel Reyes was justified in self-defense and in defense of others, and no criminal liability results therefrom. Click here to download a copy of the written case evaluation.
