Welcome to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Website for the Let's End Truancy Project.

Truancy is often the gateway to juvenile delinquency and a lifetime of crime and poverty. Studies reflect that truants are at greater risk for becoming involved in gangs, drugs, alcohol or violence. In fact, it is estimated that 82% of prisoners today dropped out of high school. The goal of the District Attorney's Office is to reach truant students before they become involved in the criminal justice system as victims or perpetrators.
